Wedding Cake - Royal Geographical Society, London.
I was commissioned to make a cake with soft pink sugar Peonies for a wedding in London.
The venue was the Royal Geographical Society, located next door to The Royal Albert Hall. A great location!
Founded in 1830, the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) is dedicated to the development and promotion of geographical knowledge, together with its application to the challenges facing society and the environment.
The wedding cake was five tiers high, starting with a dummy tier - 15 inches in diameter and 6 inches high.
The flavours were: Lemon Sponge, Chocolate, Red Velvet and Fruit Cake.
A lot of work went into making the flowers, but it was a fun experience.
I hear the cake was enjoyed by all!
