Painting Chocolate Moulds

Using Squires Kitchen cocoa butter colours I have been experimenting with painting inside Easter egg moulds.

For a wedding next year, the bride has requested peacock feathers on the side of the eggs.

This is just an experiment at the moment, but a lot of fun. The colour is a little tricky to use and it is deceptive as the colour you put down first is the colour you see. So, building up the colours is pointless, as that build up will be lost inside the egg/chocolate.

I have also tried using the heat gun to slightly melt colours into each other in the mould.

More to come soon!
